Haiku about thoughts

I recall one workshop hearing Marshall say “Any verbal expression is, at least implicitly, an expression of a need, and may also be a request of the listener.

One woman responded:

“Don’t you think sometimes people express ideas without wanting anything?”

Marshall responded with a little haiku type poem:

Don’t you think

When people say ‘don’t you think?’
They would like YOU to think
What THEY think?
